Hi, I’m Daniel LaBounty — Enrolled Agent and founder of Targeted Tax Solutions.
I started this firm with a simple goal: to provide reliable, transparent, and personalized tax guidance for individuals, families, and small business owners who want to take control of their financial future. My approach is rooted in education and strategy — I believe that when clients understand their numbers, they make smarter decisions and save more in the long run.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University and a Master of Science in Accountancy with a concentration in Taxation from Liberty University. As a federally licensed Enrolled Agent (EA), I’m authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS in all 50 states. I’m also a proud member of both the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) and the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP).
Before starting my tax practice, I served in the United States Marine Corps as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician — a role that taught me the importance of discipline, precision, and calm thinking under pressure. That same mindset guides my work today.
With over a decade of experience in tax preparation, planning, and small business consulting, I’ve helped everyone from first-time filers to multi-entity business owners navigate the tax code with confidence. I’m especially passionate about helping clients take advantage of tax-saving strategies and making sure their business structure supports long-term growth and keeps them in compliance as they scale.
What sets Targeted Tax Solutions apart is our commitment to proactive planning and our respect for your time and money. We don’t just do taxes — we partner with our clients to build custom solutions that work for real life.
When I’m not buried in the tax code, you can usually find me spending time with my family, working on the homestead, or underwater. I’m a certified scuba instructor and technical diver — diving is one of the ways I recharge, challenge myself, and explore new depths (literally and figuratively).
